About Us
Nandita Bist label is like a fresh leaf uncurling to bask in its share of sunlight. It just knows what it’s meant to do, but it doesn’t know how it knows it. Our process doesn’t seem to have any rigid structure but rather we like to live with a compulsive urge to be in the flux of a chaotic, messy, and unpredictable journey through which we evolve new expressions.
Our team just organically evolved, people came, worked, and stayed with us. Our team consists of master pattern makers, tailors, skilled artisans, and even housewives and all of them share a common trait that they like to indulge in creating something unique with fabric, and we just convert these unique expressions into women's fashionwear.
We believe that clothing is an expression of one’s personality, and so like people the garments should be unique too. Unique textures, eclectic mix of materials, printing techniques, ornamentation, and unrestrained free-flowing silhouettes define our clothing. We feel we are crafting art, we just happen to use fashion garments as our medium. Being ethical and eco-conscious naturally branched out of our belief and process, we don’t know if it could be any other way.
Everything we make tells the story of the people who make it, our clothes are for people who are free-spirited, inspired, unrestrained, and explorative. Like everything else, we never consciously knew our customers' profile, but we observed and understood that our clothes attract these kinds and this is how they describe themselves.
